Minneapolis Increasing Police Presence In Higher Crime Areas
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minneapolis officials are increasing the amount of law enforcement in some of the higher crime areas. The city has set aside 300-thousand-dollars to pay the overtime for the eight officers and one supervisor who will be patrolling certain areas in the North and South sides. Officials say the increase is in response to a rise in violent crime this year.
