(Undated) -- The legendary actor Mickey Rooney, who performed for almost all his 93 years, has died. The star of stage and screen passed away Sunday. Rooney's prolific career as a performer started as a toddler in his parents' stage act soon after he was born in Brooklyn. He made his screen debut at the age of six, and signed to MGM when he was 14. With the role of an all-American boy next door named Andy Hardy and a series of musicals with Judy Garland, Rooney became one of the studio's biggest box office attractions in the '30s and '40s. Recently he returned to the screen in Ben Stiller's "Night at the Museum" in 2006, and the "Muppets" reboot in 2011.
