McCain Urges Democratic Involvement On Benghazi Select Committee
(Washington, DC) -- Arizona Senator John McCain is urging House Democrats to take part in a new select committee's investigation of the deadly 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya. He thinks otherwise there could be negative repercussions if the panel uncovers new information about why four Americans were killed in the attack on the U.S. consulate.
Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina will head the new select committee. He and other Republicans have accused the Obama administration of obstructing House efforts to investigate the attack. The administration insists it has fully cooperated with the House investigation.
