Man's Death Ruled Homicide Nearly Seven Years After Shooting

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The death of a Minneapolis man is being ruled a homicide, nearly seven years after he was shot. Authorities say 50-year-old Lionel Miles was shot in November of 2007 in Minneapolis. He died last week while living at the Assisted Living at Lyndale Manor. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has since ruled that Miles died of complications from the wound he suffered in 2007. The man responsible for the shooting was sentenced to prison for assault in 2009.
