(Undated) -- A man in China is the proud new owner of a Tibetan mastiff after shelling out a cool one-point-nine-million dollars. The "New York Post" says the unnamed businessman payed the hefty price for the year-old, golden-haired pup at a luxury pets fair earlier this week. The breeder reportedly claims the 200-pound dog has "lion's blood," and says mastiffs are almost as rare as China's nationally treasured pandas. The "Post" notes that the dogs have also become prized status symbols among the country's newly rich, which has sent the prices skyrocketing.
