Man Charged With Leaving Kids In Crashed Car
(St. Paul, MN) -- Formal charges have been filed against the Brooklyn Park man who allegedly left his critically injured children inside a crashed vehicle in St. Paul. Earl Lionell Ward was charged on Wednesday with child endangerment, criminal vehicular operation, and violating a no-contact order. Ward was driving a vehicle that crashed early Tuesday morning near Hazel Street and Mechanic Avenue. Fourteen-year-old Amarya Ward-West suffered a broken neck, eight-year-old Almond Ward-West suffered a broken femur and Ward was arrested at a relative's house several hours after running from the scene of the crash.
