Man Arrested After Fleeing Crash
(St. Paul, MN) -- St. Paul police have arrested a man for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash in which two of his children were seriously injured. The "Pioneer Press" reports that Earl Lionell Ward was behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a large construction hole in the road early yesterday morning at Hazel Street and Mechanic Avenue. Fourteen-year-old Amarya West suffered a broken neck and eight-year-old Almond West suffered a broken femur and severed artery and both children were taken to a local hospital. Ward apparently ran from the scene, but was arrested without incident last evening at a relative's home in the North End.
