(Minneapolis, MN) -- A man and his dog were rescued after becoming trapped on an inland at a local creek. WCCO reports that emergency crews were called to Minnehaha Creek just east of Minnehaha Falls about 1:00 Sunday afternoon after a man went into the water to rescue his dog, who had been swept away by the strong current. The man and dog made it to an island and firefighters used a boat to rescue them. No one was hurt during the incident.
