L.A. Mayor Still Wants New Clippers Owner

(Los Angeles, CA) -- It's too little, too late for Clippers owner Donald Sterling as far as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is concerned. Sterling told CNN's Anderson Cooper in an interview set to air today that he made "a terrible mistake" when it comes to the racial comments that have led to his NBA lifetime ban and is apologizing for them. A spokesperson for Garcetti says while the mayor hasn't seen the interview, he still believes "a change in ownership is in the best interests of the fans and our city." Garcetti had previously said he met with Sterling recently and urged him to apologize.
