(Mankato, MN) -- Former Minnesota State Mankato linebacker Isaac Kolstad is now breathing on his own. Kolstad was badly injured in a fight in Mankato on May 11 and was taken off a ventilator over the weekend according to a post by his family on his CaringBridge web page. The 24-year-old has improved enough to be taken off of life support as well, but remains in a coma with several head injuries. Former Minnesota Gophers quarterback Philip Nelson is among the two men who have been charged in the attack.
