(Washington, DC) -- The U.S. is presenting two awards to Israeli president Shimon Peres today. The 90-year-old leader is making his final U.S. visit as a head of state. Peres will receive the Congressional Gold Medal, and the Lantos Human Rights Prize during a ceremony in the Capitol rotunda. The Lantos Prize is named for the late U.S. Congressman and Holocaust survivor Tom Lantos. On Wednesday, Peres met with President Obama, one of ten U.S. presidents he's dealt with.
