(Undated) -- Israel is threatening to widen its military campaign against Hamas. The Israeli army is warning tens of thousands of civilians to leave northern Gaza as it continues air strikes into the Palestinian territory. The threat comes after the Islamist group that controls Gaza rejected a truce offered by Egypt and observed by Israel for most of Tuesday. The Israel Defense Force reports hitting nearly 40 targets overnight, including what it described as "command and control centers used by senior Hamas leadership" and others allied with Hamas. The death toll in the Palestinian enclave is now more than 200.
