Israel Approves New 24-Hour Ceasefire
(Undated) -- Israel is extending a humanitarian ceasefire for another 24 hours. An Israeli government official says the truce was requested by the United Nations and approved by Israel's security cabinet. The IDF says it will act against any breach of the ceasefire. Hamas says it will only honor the truce if Israel removes troops from the areas they've entered in the Gaza Strip.

Militants ignored a four-hour extension of an earlier ceasefire and an IDF spokesman said rockets were being fired at Israeli civilians. The ceasefire was extended until late Sunday night, local time.
