House Passes Veterans' Sexual-Trauma Support, Jobs Bills
(Washington, DC) -- Returning veterans are getting more support in finding a job and recovering from sexual trauma. The U.S. House passed a bill reauthorizing the V.A.'s Professional Certification and Licensure Advisory Committee. This committee licenses and certifies job-training programs. The other bill provides counseling and treatment for vets who suffer sexual trauma during inactive duty. Before, only vets on active duty could get such counseling.
