(Washington, DC) -- A House committee is leaning on the Obama administration to give more support to Iraqi forces fighting a growing insurgency. The House Foreign Affairs Committee will grill officials from the State Department and the Pentagon today. Committee Chairman Ed Royce says the ISIS militants who now control broad stretches of Iraq and Syria are an al-Qaeda offshoot that is plotting against the U.S. homeland. The California Republican says he wants to know what the administration plans to do going forward.
