Holmes Trial Jury Selection Will Be Open To Public, Media
(Denver, CO) -- A judge in Colorado says jury selection in the James Holmes trial will be open to the public and the media. Defense attorneys wanted the entire jury selection kept private and prosecutors asked to have only parts of it closed. Holmes is charged with killing 12 people in a theater almost two years ago during a screening of the "The Dark Knight Rises." He has pled not guilty by reason of insanity.

Arapahoe County District Court Judge Carlos Samour ruled Wednesday there's no reason to believe the public or the media would intimidate prospective jurors.
