Guilty Verdicts In McDonnell Case

(Richmond, VA) -- Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen have been found guilty of most of the corruption charges they were facing. U.S. Attorney Dana Bonete says it's a sad day for the state.

A federal jury in Richmond delivered the verdict Thursday afternoon. The ex-governor was found guilty of eleven corruption counts but not guilty of falsifying loan documents. The former first lady was found guilty of eight corruption counts plus obstruction of justice while she was also found not guilty of falsifying loan documents.
