(St. Paul, MN) -- Several days of record-setting rains have waterlogged much of the state, and Governor Dayton has declared a state of emergency for 35 counties. He has also ordered 100 Minnesota National Guard soldiers to Koochiching County, while the State Emergency Operations Center has been fully activated. Between three and six inches of rain have fallen throughout the Twin Cities, and Hennepin County has distributed three-thousand sandbags to cities with another eight-thousand ready. Flood warnings are in effect for Minneapolis and St. Paul.
