General Motors Recalling 7.6 Million More Vehicles

(Undated) -- General Motors is announcing six new recalls affecting more than seven-and-a-half million vehicles. Some of the recalled vehicles date all the way back to 1997. The recalls involve problems similar to the ignition-switch defects that have been blamed for more than a dozen deaths. Word of the latest recalls come the same day that a compensation fund was unveiled for victims of crashes involving faulty ignition switches in millions of GM cars.
