Friday The 13th And A Full Moon Land On Same Day
(Undated) -- Friday the 13th and a full moon land on the same day for the first time in almost 100 years today. Psychologist Doctor Mike McKee with Cleveland Clinic says people are afraid of full moons and the superstitious day.
People afraid of full moons are said to be selenophobic while friggatriskaidekaphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th. The fear of Friday the 13th goes all the way back to Medieval times when hangings and executions would happen on Fridays. The number 13 being bad luck might have originated from the 13 people attending the Last Supper of Jesus. If today is stressing you out, don't worry. The next time a full moon will land on Friday the 13th will be in 2049.
