(St. Paul, MN) -- Empty horse barns at Fort Snelling will get new life as housing for homeless veterans. The 17-million dollar project would create 58 apartments when it's done next year. Senator Al Franken attended the groundbreaking for the apartments yesterday in St. Paul and lauded the apartments as one way to make sure veterans get what they need. He said it's a positive development given the controversy surrounding Veterans Affairs with the failures at the VA hospital in Phoenix.
