Former Defense Secretary Becomes President Of Boy Scouts
(Undated) -- Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates will now lead the Boy Scouts of America. Gates was elected national president of the organization on Thursday. Gates told "Scouting" magazine he strongly supports the Scouts' decision in 2013 to get rid of its ban on openly gay members. He said the priorities now should be on getting more kids to join the Boy Scouts and making the program better.
