Football Player Guilty In Nightclub Shooting

(Minneapolis, WI) -- A North Dakota Football player has been convicted of murder charges following a shooting outside a Minneapolis nightclub. On Thursday, a jury found 22-year-old Cedric Chappell Jr. guilty of murder and attempted murder stemming from an incident outside the Blue Nile Nightclub in September of last year. Chappell admitted to shooting Willie Smith the Third to death and wounding another man during a fight that broke between two gangs. He faces up to 45-years in prison.
