(Undated) -- First Lady Michelle Obama is praising a college football star for publicly announcing he's gay. In a tweet to Missouri football player Michael Sam, Obama said "we couldn't be prouder of your courage both on and off the field." Sam is the Southeastern Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year. He told viewers of Sunday's telecast of ESPN's "Outside the Lines" that he's openly gay and proud. The First Lady called him "an inspiration to us all."
