(San Diego, CA) -- Firefighters in Southern California are getting the upper hand on the fires burning throughout San Diego County. The brush fire that has burned more than three-thousand acres in San Marcos is at least 50-percent contained. Three people are under arrest in connection with the fires. County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis says an arson charge has been filed against a man in Oceanside in connection to a small fire in a dry riverbed. Nearly a dozen fires have burned more than 20-thousand acres and destroyed at least a dozen homes over the last few days.
