Report: South Dakota Authorities Investigating Minnesota Priest

(St. Paul, MN) -- Reverend Clarence Vavra of Minnesota is reportedly under investigation on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota for alleged sexual abuse of children. Minnesota Public Radio News cites supervisory special agent Grace Her Many Horses as saying police are looking for men who may have been abused by Vavra while he worked on the reservation in the 1970s. She adds they are seeking help from both the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the FBI. Vavra retired in 2003 from the priesthood and lives in New Prague, Minnesota.
