FBI Investigating ASU Professor Arrest

FBI Investigating ASU Professor Arrest
(Phoenix, AZ) -- The FBI could get involved in the controversy around the arrest of an African-American professor at Arizona State University for jaywalking. Bishop Doctor Jeff Metcalff is the president of the Arizona chapter of the National Action Network and says they've asked the FBI to investigate the arrest.
The university has also asked the Bureau to investigate whether Ersula Ore's civil rights were violated during the May 20th arrest that has been getting national attention. Groups have been calling for the university to fire the police officer involved. In dash cam video, the officer can be seen throwing Ore to the ground when she resisted arrest for refusing to provide him with ID.
