Family Of Tea Party Leader Plans Legal Action
(Jackson, MS) -- The family of deceased Mississippi Tea Party leader Mark Mayfield is planning to take legal action against the city of Madison. The "Clarion-Ledger" reports family members claim that Mayfield was driven to commit suicide last Friday following his arrest in May in connection with the photo scandal involving the wife of Senator Thad Cochran. The newspaper says Mayfield's nephew believes Madison police trespassed and abused their power by showing up at Mayfield's home in Ridgeland after Mayfield killed himself.
