"GMA's" Robin Roberts Comes Out In Year-End Facebook Post

(Undated) -- Robin Roberts is giving thanks in a year-end Facebook post, and coming out in the process. In her message of gratitude, the "Good Morning America" host extends her appreciation to her "long time girlfriend, Amber;" as well as her sister Sally-Ann, who gave her a life-saving bone marrow transplant last year; the doctors and nurses who've given her "restored good health;" and to God. She says she's also grateful for the rest of her family and her friends as they "prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together." Robin says the message was sparked by the first anniversary of a "critical milestone" in her health -- the 100-day mark after her transplant, which allowed her to be reunited with her dog KJ.

The message marks the first time Roberts has publicly acknowledged her relationship with Amber Laign, a massage therapist specializing in injury recovery. People.com says the two met through mutual friends, and have been together for ten years.
