(New York, NY) -- If you use e-cigarettes, you probably won't be able to enjoy them in New York City's restaurants or other indoor establishments for much longer. The New York City Council voted yesterday to expand the city's indoor smoking ban to include electronic cigarettes. The vote was 43 to 8. The Council also approved legislation that could lead to a ban on plastic foam containers. Big Apple Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to sign both bills, which would then go into effect in four months.
