(St. Paul, MN) -- The former head of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is now running the investigation into clergy abuse allegations inside the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Judge Timothy O'Malley has been named director of Ministerial Standards and Safe Environment. He is now responsible for dealing with any allegations of sexual abuse. O'Malley was recommended by a task force that investigated how church officials have handled accusations of priest misconduct in the past.
