(London) -- National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden is warning that unchecked government surveillance is surpassing the ideas brought up in George Orwell's book "1984."
Snowden spoke yesterday in a televised Christmas message to the British people. He stressed, quote, "We have sensors in our pockets that track us everywhere we go. Think about what that means for the privacy of the average person." Snowden remains in Moscow, where the Russian government granted him temporary asylum.
