University Of Minnesota Announces New Campus Security Measures

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Look for more police to be patrolling the campus of the University of Minnesota after a spike in assaults and robberies on campus. University President Eric Kaler announced the new security policies yesterday and called the rash of crimes "troubling and disturbing." They include an incident on Monday when an armed man attempted to steal a student's laptop in Anderson Hall. He has not been caught.
