(Minneapolis, MN) -- Developers planning a hotel in Dinkytown are running into delays from the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission. The commission denied demolition permits last night for three buildings as they look into any historical value to the properties. Doran Development wants to build a hotel with over 120 rooms in the center of Dinkytown. Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association President Cordelia Pierson said at the commission meeting that the buildings are the "heart of our neighborhood commercial district."
