Deadly Quake Strikes Southwestern China, 360 Killed
(Beijing) -- The death toll is soaring after a magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit southwestern China's remote Yunnan province today. State-controlled media there reports at least 360 are dead with scores injured. The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at a shallow depth of less than one mile. Most of the deaths were concentrated in one area.
