Deadly Fire Destroys Seniors' Residence In Canada
(L'Isle-Verte, QC) -- A fast-moving overnight fire that blew through a Canadian residence for the elderly is leaving three people dead and up to 30 missing. Robert Berude's mother was in her home when the fire started.
Whipped by high winds, flames leveled the three-story residence about 140 miles northeast of Quebec City. A Quebec police spokesperson says some of the missing may have been relocated or may be with their families. Officials say nine people were hospitalized.
