"Duck Dynasty's" Willie To Talk Controversy On Fox News

(Undated) -- First stop Fox News. "Duck Dynasty" stars Willie and Korie Robertson are heading to the cable news channel to discuss the controversy over Willie's dad's comments to "GQ" magazine. Fox News said the couple would speak with Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck during a scheduled appearance on the network's "All American New Year" special, starting at 9:00 pm Tuesday night. It will mark their first television appearance since A&E reinstated Phil Robertson to his family's reality series after a very brief suspension that's not boding well with gay rights activists. GLADD said in a statement that if dialogue with the reality star is not a part of A&E's next steps, then the network will have "chosen profits over African-American and gay people - especially its employees and viewers."
The backlash was great after A&E suspended Robertson for remarks deemed offensive by many. Last Friday, the network said it would resume filming its hit reality series with Robertson, along with public service announcements that promote "unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people."
