Menendez 'Terribly' Disappointed Jobless Benefits Not Extended

(Washington, DC) -- New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez says the bipartisan budget deal that's awaiting the President's signature is "certainly not perfect." In a statement after yesterday's Senate passage of the one-trillion-dollar spending plan, Menendez noted it does make "smarter choices," like preventing another round of cuts to defense programs and jobs. However, the Democrat calls it "terribly disappointing" that the deal denies extended long-term jobless benefits to more than a million Americans out of work.
