(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Minneapolis City Council and the Minneapolis Sports Facilities Authority are likely to vote within an hour of each other on the planned Downtown East project on Friday. The 400-million-dollar development proposal would be built next to the new Vikings stadium. The city's Community Development Committee approved issuing up to 65-million-dollars in bonds on Tuesday for its share of the project. In addition to a park, Downtown East would have hundreds of housing units and over 20-thousand feet of retail.
