(Sedona, AZ) -- Firefighters in Arizona are still doing battle with a wildfire that's scorched thousands of acres of land near the scenic tourist town of Sedona. The Slide Fire has burned eight-thousand-500 acres, but favorable weather conditions on Friday helped crews keep the fire from spreading towards any homes. More than 800 firefighters, including 15 elite hotshot crews and three air tankers have the fire about five-percent contained. Officials say the fire could scorch as much as 20-thousand acres before it's fully contained, due to the rugged terrain making it hard for crews to get control of the blaze.
