(Undated) -- The weather will be cooler on the East Coast today. Forecasters say cold air coming down from the Gulf of Alaska will have afternoon highs topping out between 70 and 80 for the next two days. Those cooler temperatures could usher in extreme and dangerous weather. Hail and tornadoes are possible from southern New England to the Mid-Atlantic, while severe lightning, flash floods, and dust storms are possible across the West.
