(Detroit, MI) -- Chrysler is posting a first quarter loss of 690-million dollars, but there's a big catch. The Michigan-based automaker said it repaid a 504-million dollar debt to the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust. Chrysler also recorded a 672-million dollar charge related to the deal that set the wheels in motion for Fiat to own all of Chrysler. The company would have posted earnings of 486-million dollars in the first quarter without those expenses.
