(Los Angeles, CA) -- Chris Brown is staying behind bars for a while longer. The embattled singer appeared in Los Angeles court today after he was arrested for being kicked out of court-ordered rehab on Friday. According to TMZ.com, on April 23rd Chris will return to court for a probation hearing, in which a judge will make a ruling based on the result of his Washington D.C. trial for misdemeanor assault. That trial begins on April 17th. If he's convicted, Brown could face up to four years in prison for violating the terms of his probation in the 2009 Rihanna assault case. It's not clear whether Brown will be allowed to leave jail for a trial appearance.
