Chimpanzee Attack Victim Pleads For Right To Sue Connecticut
(Hartford, CT) -- The Connecticut woman whose face was ripped off by a friend's chimpanzee five years ago is pleading with state lawmakers for the right to sue. Charla Nash, who needed a face transplant after the attack and has been blind ever since, will appear at a legislative committee hearing in Hartford later today. She wants to sue Connecticut for 150-million-dollars. Her plea is a last-ditch effort after being turned down last June by the state's Claims Commissioner.
