Chile's Copper Mines Inspected For Earthquake Damage
(Angamos, Chile) -- Chilean officials are inspecting the country's copper mines following Tuesday's massive magnitude 8.2 earthquake. Chile is the world's number one copper producer, and officials say it initially appears the country's major mines were undamaged. Workers in Angamos, a key copper port, were evacuated as a precaution. Parts of northern Chile have been declared disaster zones by President Michelle Bachelet.
