Charges Expected To Be Handed Down Today For Accused Cop Killer

(St. Paul, MN) -- Charges are expected to be handed down today for the man suspected of killing a Mendota Heights police officer. Brian Fitch Senior was arrested yesterday after a manhunt that began after Officer Scott Patrick was shot and killed during a traffic stop around noon. Fitch was shot several times in a shootout with St. Paul police right before being taken into custody. He remains in the hospital under police guard. As of yesterday, he was in serious condition.
