Second Teen Charged In Attack On Minneapolis Mayoral Candidate

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman is charging a second teenager in connection with an attack on Minneapolis mayoral candidate Mark Andrew last week. Freeman announced yesterday that 17-year-old Deea Leshawn Elliott is charged with two counts of aggravated first-degree robbery and one count of second-degree assault. Cutler Cain was charged on Friday. Both women made their initial court appearances yesterday. Freeman will not prosecute the case due to his friendship with Andrew and his endorsement of his friend for the mayor's office.
