(Atlanta, GA) -- The Georgia father accused of intentionally leaving his young son to die in a hot car is due in court today. Justin Harris is charged with murder and child cruelty. Prosecutors will begin the process of laying out their case against Harris during today's probable cause hearing. They believe he planned to leave his 22-month-old son in the car and even researched hot car deaths online. Harris says the death was a tragic accident that happened because he forgot the child was in the car when he went to work.
