(San Diego, CA) -- Authorities report the first wildfire in San Diego County that saw a week filled with brush fires is 100 percent contained tonight. The Bernardo Fire burned nearly 16-hundred acres between Rancho Penasquitos and Rancho Santa Fe since Tuesday. The high winds and heat stroked the fire and it forced about 20-thousand residents from their homes for a couple of days. Investigators say it started when a crew using power tools were excavating trenches to test soil near a high school.
