Bergdahl Venturing Into Public
(San Antonio, TX) -- The Army says Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl is being allowed to venture off a Texas military base as he learns to readjust to everyday life. Bergdahl has been getting treatment at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston since returning to the U.S. last month. He was held captive for five years by the Taliban and was released in May as part of a controversial prisoner swap. The Army says Bergdahl has been supervised during visits to a supermarket, restaurants and shopping centers.
